Corporate Identity Activities

Golden Circle - Food and Beverage Company

From what I can see, the logo consists of a simple white type face spelling out the companies name; Golden Circle, which is encased in a bright red distorted rectangle like shape, and underlined by a green dash. As far as I can tell, There are no Australian symbols or icons used in the logo design. Like most beverage companies, the colour RED used for the rectangle-like shape is probably used as a means to make people thirsty. The white ‘Golden Circle’ text is utilized as negative space. The green dash underneath looks to be grass, and the sun is rising past it. The sun (which can be interpreted as a golden circle) was used because the main production facility is located in Brisbane, which is a sunny city. The name of the company was probably derived from this theme. The typography is hard to figure out, I would say that it is probably some form of times, with a small drop shadow. I’m not sure if the chosen type face really screams out ‘beverages and canned fruits’ but the rest of the logo certainly does point to some sort of produce.
